What This Policy Applies To
Every request submitted through cmmcalibrationminneapolis.com carries information with it, and this policy states plainly what becomes of that information: what is collected, what it is used for, and the commercial arrangement the request is handled under. The website and the requests made through it are both covered.

Referral Arrangement and Payment
This site is a marketing and referral website, operated by Minneapolis CMM Calibration and Repair. It is not a calibration laboratory, and no CMM Calibration work is performed by the operator of cmmcalibrationminneapolis.com.
Each request submitted here is passed to an external laboratory. Accreditation is held by that laboratory, its own quality management system governs the work, and the certificate or report is issued in its own name. Selection rests on three things: accreditation that is current and covers the measurement, capability demonstrated for the measurement actually requested, and a record of delivering it.
Payment reaches the operator of this website in connection with that introduction, and may be a referral fee, a fixed fee for the use of this website, or a commission on work that is placed. The price quoted to you is not changed by it, and it gives the operator no role in performing, approving or certifying any measurement. The same disclosure appears in the terms and conditions, so the commercial relationship behind this site is stated in both places, not left implicit in either.
Information Collected
What is collected falls into two categories, and neither is larger than the work requires.
- Request detail. Name, company, email address and telephone number; the item, the quantity, the measurement points and the tolerances; the standard required and the turnaround needed.
- Technical detail. The ordinary information a browser sends: IP address, browser and device type, the referring page, and the pages viewed on this site.
Payment card details are never collected here.
What It Is Used For
Three purposes account for request detail: reviewing what has been asked for, obtaining a quotation from a laboratory able to perform the work, and corresponding with you about it. Technical information serves a narrower purpose — keeping this site available and secure, and showing which pages are used.
None of it is sold. None of it is rented, traded, or supplied to third parties for their own marketing.
Who Information Is Shared With
The laboratory or laboratories asked to quote or to perform the work receive the request detail they need. So do the service providers who host this website, deliver its email and provide its analytics — each of them acting on instructions, and none of them permitted to use the information for its own purposes.
Beyond that, information is disclosed only where the law requires it, or where an accreditation body exercises its right of access to the records of a laboratory that performed work.
Confidentiality of Customer Information
Confidentiality covers drawings, specifications, tolerances, measurement data and results, on the same basis as the confidentiality obligations that apply to accredited laboratory work. Access is limited to the people who need the material to prepare a quotation or to complete the work.
Any disclosure compelled by law is notified to you once it has been made, unless that notification is itself prohibited.
Cookies and Measurement of Use
Cookies needed for the site to function are set. Where analytics is enabled, visits are counted in aggregate. Both can be blocked or deleted in most browsers; the site will still work, but a form submitted with cookies blocked may not be recorded correctly.
Retention
Inquiry records are retained for as long as they are needed to answer the request and to meet accounting and record-keeping obligations, and are then deleted or stripped of identifying detail. Records held by a laboratory that performed work are retained under that laboratory's own records policy.
Your Choices
Three requests can be made through the contact page: to be told what information is held about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. Each is answered within thirty days. Marketing email, where any is sent, carries an unsubscribe link, and an unsubscribe request is honored on receipt.
Changes and Governing Law
Amendments may be made to this statement. The published version at cmmcalibrationminneapolis.com is the operative one, and the laws of Minnesota govern it.
